Meet Our Trainers
Kathleen Donaldson
Kathleen is the co-author of the Trusted Adult Program. She is a mental health educator, trauma informed care trainer, peer support specialist and certified wellness coach. Kathleen created the Trusted Adult Program to weave webs of trusted adult support amidst our current mental health crisis. Using a 2-generation approach to mental health and wellbeing the program provides youth and adults crucial skills, practices, worksheets, and perspectives. Kathleen has a background in counseling and mental health education.
Angela Bazan
Angela Bazan is the Program Manager at NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) and currently a mentor with the WAMS Mentoring Programs. She has a passion for integrating mental health resources into the community and advocating for our young people so their voices are heard. She previously worked at Rod's House with homeless youth and young adults. She also loves snuggling with her dog Potato.
Karelys Davis
Karelys is the Director of Education and Training at Transcend Leadership Collective. She is an ACES and Resilience geek and a connector in the Strengths Finder 2.0. She is passionate about making mental health resources available to everybody. She is an optimist, and a tryer of new things to break the mold. She also loves throwing a good party.
Minerva Prado
Minerva is originally from Mexico City. Minerva holds bachelor degrees in Bilingual Education and Psychology and a Master’s degree in Education. As the Family Engagement Coordinator for the West Valley School District, she works with and supports students with significant ACEs scores. Because of her work with the area’s Hispanic communities, Minerva saw the need to translate the Alliance’s Bringing the Protective Factors Framework to Life in Your Work curriculum for her parent training. Working with the Alliance, Minerva has been instrumental in translating ALL of the training materials into Spanish.
